Please read this page before relying on anything on CDNGLD.ca.
CDNGLD.ca (“the site”) is a free, independent directory and information resource for people who buy and sell gold and silver in Canada. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Everything on the site, including listings, ratings summaries, editorial notes, spot prices and blog articles, is general information only. It is not investment, financial, tax, legal or other professional advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any metal or product. Precious metals prices can fall as well as rise. Speak to a qualified, registered professional about your own situation before you invest.
CDNGLD.ca does not buy, sell, store, grade, appraise or ship precious metals, and it is not a party to any transaction between you and a listed business. Every transaction is solely between you and that business, on its terms. We do not hold your money or your metal.
A business appearing in the directory does not mean we recommend, endorse, license or vouch for it, and a business not appearing does not mean anything negative about it. We do not guarantee that any dealer is honest, solvent, insured, registered, or will honour a price or a policy. Do your own checks before dealing with anyone: confirm identity and location, ask for written terms, compare several quotes, and avoid sending money or metal to anyone you cannot verify. Be alert to scams and counterfeit products.
Dealer information is a snapshot, mostly taken from each dealer’s own website. Fees, buy and sell prices, premiums, hours, locations, services, ratings and even whether a business still operates can change without notice. We try to be accurate but cannot guarantee that anything is complete, correct or up to date. Always confirm current prices, fees and terms directly with the dealer before you transact. Where we could not verify something, or a site could not be checked, the page says so.
We show a rating only when we can name the third-party page it came from, and we say when the sample is small. Ratings are shown as published by that source on the date we checked and are not our own assessment. We do not verify reviewers, and review summaries are our own paraphrase of what reviewers wrote. Editorial notes and tags reflect our own research and opinion on the date given and are not statements of fact about any business’s conduct or character. If you are a business owner and believe something is wrong or out of date, see Corrections below.
The spot price panel is a market reference in US dollars per troy ounce, drawn from a third-party data source. It is not converted to Canadian dollars, so it will not match a Canadian dealer’s CAD quote. It is indicative only. It may be delayed, may differ from other sources, and is not a price at which any dealer will buy from or sell to you; dealers add premiums, fees or discounts. If the live feed is unavailable, the panel shows a stored snapshot and labels it with its date, which may be out of date. Do not rely on it to make a trading decision.
As of the date above, no dealer has paid to be listed or ranked, and the site does not earn commissions or referral fees from listed businesses. If that changes, we will label paid placements and affiliate links clearly on the page where they appear and update this section.
Articles are published for general information and discussion. They describe past events and market factors, are not forecasts, and do not predict future prices. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content.
The site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CDNGLD.ca and its owner, contributors and service providers are not liable for any loss or damage, including lost money, lost metal, lost profits or indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of or reliance on the site, from any business listed on it, or from any transaction you enter into. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be limited.
If you are a dealer or a reader and you see something inaccurate, out of date or unfair, tell us at [add contact email] with the page, the item and what should change, ideally with a link to a source. We review requests promptly and correct verified errors. Business owners may also ask to have a listing updated or removed.
The site’s own text, layout and compilation are owned by CDNGLD.ca. You may link to the site and quote short extracts with credit. Please do not copy the directory in bulk or republish it without permission. Business names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
We may update these terms and the privacy notice from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which the site’s operator is based.
What we collect. Browsing the directory and reading the blog does not require an account, and the site itself does not ask for personal information or collect email addresses. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to include if you write to us.
Why and how it is used. Details you send us are used only to reply to you and, where relevant, to correct or update a listing. We do not sell or rent personal information and we do not use it for marketing.
Access and correction. You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by writing to the same address. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your request.
Cookies and third parties. The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store small preferences locally, such as a theme choice. The spot price panel requests data from third-party price service, which can see your IP address as part of an ordinary web request. Links to dealers and other sites are governed by those sites’ own policies.
